The cruising passage to Pemba Island is one of the finest. You'll cross the famous Pemba Channel to Njao Gap on Pemba Island with its lovely coral gardens. This is one of the most beautiful anchorages on the east coast of Africa and you can go ashore to walk through the stunning Ngezi Rainforest or enjoy scuba diving at Fundu Gap. After a short sail you'll anchor overnight at Uvinje Gap. If you choose the southeast coast of Pemba Island you can anchor in a beautiful inland lagoon with white sandy bottom beaches and crystal clear waters on Ras Upembe Island before sunset. Here you will find more opportunities to enjoy big game fishing and scuba diving sites. You might well catch a big dorado fish, sailfish or a marlin when sailing on the open sea back to Zanzibar Island early in the morning. Mnemba Island is a two hour sail from Nungwihich which is a Marine Conservation area.

Cruise south to the Misali Island Marine Conservation Area. Here you can swim, snorkel and dive or paddle a kayak above some fantastic coral reefs. There's a wide choice of places to include in your cruise such as Mafia Island and Songa Songa Island, Kilwa and Mtwara off the south coast of Tanzania.

The Bazaruto Archipelago is a beautiful adventure yacht charter holiday destination which consists of five islands lying off the south coast of Mozambique including Bazaruto, Benguerra, Magaruque, Santa Carolina and Bangue.

The Bazaruto Islands offer great opportunities for fishing as well as scuba diving and snorkeling. The best time to explore these southern islands of Mozambique by boat is between May and November. You will cruise from Vilanculos or Inhassoro to one of the largest National Marine Parks and Conservation Areas off the coast of East Africa. The Bazaruto Archipelago has gained a reputation as the Pearl of the Indian Ocean. Sand dunes, tidal flats and crystal clear lagoon waters are found on falling tide. The Quirimbas National Park comprises the eleven most southerly islands and the best time to sail in the Quirimbas islands is between May and November. You will meet with the crew on your arrival at Pemba airport and it is then a short drive to your boat. Your sailing holiday will start either from Pemba or Ibo Island.
